Who we are

AccessAble Home Modifications (AccessAble) is a Perth-based building company specialising in home accessibility modifications. Our office is at 3 Williams Rd, Melville WA 6156. You can reach us by phone on 1300 702 287 or by email at info@accessablehomes.com.au.

This policy describes how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. It applies to personal information collected through this website and through any direct contact with us by phone or email.

What information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through this website, we collect the information you provide in the form:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address (if provided)
  • Your suburb (if provided)
  • What you need help with, and any details you share in the message field

If you contact us directly by phone or email, we may record the information you share during that conversation in order to follow up with you.

We also collect basic technical information when you visit this website - your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit - through standard web server logs, and through the analytics and advertising tools described under “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below.

Why we collect it

We collect your personal information for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry about home modification work.

Specifically, we use it to call or email you back, to discuss your home and what you need, to arrange a site visit if that is the right next step, and to provide you with a written scope and quote. We do not use the details you give us for any other purpose.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent or share the details you give us with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

We may share your information with a service provider who helps us operate this website (for example, our hosting provider or email delivery service), but only where they are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use the information for any other purpose.

We may be required to disclose information where the law requires it - for example, in response to a court order or a request from a regulatory authority. We would not do so otherwise.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website uses a few tools from other companies to count visits and to measure our advertising. They see things like the pages you visit, your browser and device, and your IP address. They do not receive your name, phone number or anything else you type into our enquiry form.

  • Plausible, to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.
  • Google Tag Manager and the Google Ads tag, which use cookies to tell us whether our Google ads lead to enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have visited this website before.
  • The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which uses cookies to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and to show our ads to people who have visited this website before.

Google and Meta handle that information under their own privacy policies: how Google uses information for advertising and Meta's privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website will still work. You can also control the ads you see in Google My Ad Center and in your Facebook ad preferences.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry and, where you become a client, to maintain records relevant to the work we carried out. For non-clients, we do not retain enquiry information beyond twelve months.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which form Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it
  • Make a complaint if you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the APPs

To exercise any of these rights, contact us by email at info@accessablehomes.com.au or by phone on 1300 702 287. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles and you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint you have raised with us directly, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
